Completing a Room Scan Using Honorlock

During the authentication steps, test takers may be prompted to complete a room scan. The steps will be followed by a video showing how to complete a great room scan. The instructor or exam administrator determines the requirements of the room scan. 

If a room scan is required, you will be presented with instructions on how to complete the room scan.  

Click on Start Room Scan.

A countdown clock will begin.

You will scan your entire area, under your work area, around your room, and behind where your device is located.  The exam guidelines may also direct you to show yourself powering off your cell phone and any scratch paper you will be using. Once you have completed the 360 scan, you will click on “I’m Done!”

You will have the opportunity to review the room scan and try again or submit the room scan. If you are satisfied with the room scan, click on “Yes, submit.”  If you would like to complete another room scan, click on “No, Try Again.” 

Once the Room scan is submitted, you will see the next authentication step.
