How to Use Honorlock with SACA (Learner Guide)

Launching the Assessment in SACA

1. Make sure you are in the Google Chrome Browser.

2. Navigate to Activities in the navigation bar and click Take an Assessment.

3. Locate the assessment you wish to take and click Begin Assessment.

4. Review the Candidate Contract Agreement and select the checkbox to agree to it.

5. Click Begin Assessment.

Installing the Honorlock Chrome Extension

1. Review the Honorlock Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and select the checkbox to acknowledge each has been reviewed.

2. Click Add Extension.

3. This will take you to the Google Chrome store where you can click the Add to Chrome button in the top right corner. This will successfully add the extension to your browser.

Launching Honorlock

1. Select the checkboxes to authorize the collection of data and agree to Honorlock’s Terms of Service and click Continue to Exam Guidelines.

2. Scroll down to review exam guidelines and click the Launch Proctoring button at the bottom of the page. A new window will pop up in the top left corner of the screen that will initiate the authentication process.

Honorlock Authentication Steps and Entering Your Exam with Honorlock Proctoring

1. Honorlock will initially run a browser check. If you have any tabs that are open within the browser or any unapproved Chrome extensions installed on your browser, you will be prompted to close the tabs and disable the extensions. You can do this by clicking the Close Tabs and Disable Extensions button.

2. Click Continue to acknowledge Honorlock’s BrowserGuard^TM functionality.

3. Click I Understand to acknowledge that you’ve reviewed the Privacy Details notice.

4. Take the Test Taker Photo by centering your face in the oval located in the webcam window and click Take Photo.

5. Click Continue to take a picture of your ID. 

6. Center your ID in the webcam window and click Take ID Photo.

7. Click Continue to conduct your room scan after acknowledging the room scan instructions.

8. Click the Start Room Scan button to conduct your room scan. 

9. Click the I’m Done! button. Please make sure to adhere to the room scan guidelines. Once completed, you will be presented with a replay of the room scan. 

10. Click the Yes, Submit button to submit your room scan or click No, Try Again to redo it.

11. Click Continue to share your screen.

12. Select the image to share your entire screen and click the Share button in the bottom right corner of the window. 

13. Click the Focus Test Window button.

14. A new window will populate in the bottom left corner. Click Start Exam to begin your assessment. Your assessment will begin as soon as you click the button (seen below).
