When analyzing your Summary Report, you’ll notice a number of flags. This guide provides you with some tips on how to interpret those flags and what to look for. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list but is meant to be a place to help you get started.
If you are limited on time for reviewing your sessions, we recommend paying close attention to the sessions with high and violation flags. The image below captures the symbols of flags and what they signify.
1. We recommend you view the Summary Report within the Honorlock LTI. To view the report, log in to the Honorlock LTI and click on “Results” for the exam you want to view. From there, click on “Summary Report.” As a reminder, the full Summary Report will be available once the exam’s end date has passed.

2. Scroll down to the summary report to view an overview of each session. We recommend looking at the sessions with high flags and violations. Each flag will have the time it occurred in the recording and a short description along with it.

3. If you have more time, we recommend clicking into each of the videos with high flags and violations from the Results page. Below is a table of examples of high, medium, and low AI flags with the settings that affect the flag. Flags highlight moments for a human proctor to double-check, ensuring everything is evaluated fairly and accurately.

Voice Detection Flags

Honorlock Voice Detection is an enhancement beyond audible sound spikes. Honorlock transcribes the audio in real-time, as the exam is in progress. A transcript will be created for each session, with context as to what is said aloud. Honorlock’s AI will analyze the transcript for keywords.
Examples of keywords:
-
Siri
-
Alexa
-
Lookup
-
Help me
-
Cheat
-
Test
Viewing the transcripts will be done within the session viewer. If there was speech transcribed for the exam session, you will see a new tab present, labeled as Transcript. This tab is dynamic and will only be visible if speech is transcribed during the session.

When you move your cursor over the transcript box, the timestamp becomes a clickable link to view the event.

Speech Detection Flags will also appear in the session timeline. You can click the AI flags within the timeline to view the flag.
