The new ID verification process is set to be released on 3/4/2025
During authentication, you may be required to verify your identity by taking a photo of your ID.
The ID verification step will populate the ID verification instructions. Once you have reviewed the instructions, press continue.
Hold your ID up to the webcam to fit within the outline on the screen and click the take photo button. If the image is too blurry or the name is not clear in the photo, you will see the verification failed message. You can try again or select Other Options.
When you select Other Options, a new screen will open providing the option to scan a QR code on your phone, take a photo of your ID or upload a photo of your ID from your computer. Select the option you would like to use to upload the image of your ID into the exam session.
When you select the Scan QR code option, use your phone to scan the QR code, and your camera will open. You will take a photo of your ID, which will be uploaded into your exam session. Hold your ID so your name is clearly visible in the image, and take the photo.
When you select the option to upload an image of your ID from your computer, you will take a photo of your ID, email the photo to yourself, save the image to your computer and select the image from your computer to upload into your exam session.
Once the photo has been uploaded via the QR code, computer upload or photo retake, you will see the verification in progress.
Once the ID has successfully been uploaded into the exam session, you will receive a success message and will continue to the next authentication step.
Before you move on to the next authentication step, you will be reminded to remove your phone from the testing environment.
***It should be noted that Samsung phone users who use the built-in Samsung browser, will have issues with uploading. Samsung users switching to the standard Chrome browser will allow the ID upload feature to upload the photo as intended.***
