Honorlock Ignite - Administrator Guide

With Honorlock Ignite, an institution or organization can proctor exams outside their traditional LMS or assessment platform.

To do so, you must: 

  1. Register each exam 

  2. Provide test taker information for each exam

  3. Share a URL for test takers to access the exam

To request access to the test, test takers can access the Exam URL provided by the exam administrator. Honorlock will validate permissions and send an email to valid test takers containing a unique URL to access the exam. 

How Honorlock Ignite Works

Accessing Ignite in Hub.HL 

  • Authenticate to Hub.HL with your app.HL credentials.

  • Using the left-hand main navigation bar, navigate to “Ignite”

Create Course

  • First, create a course. Input the Course Name and ID. 

    • Exams will be grouped into corresponding courses.

    • Course names will be visible to test takers. 

  • Note that courses can’t be deleted at this time. 

  • Navigate to the course.

 

Register Ignite Exams

  • To register an exam, click “Register Test” on the top-right navigation bar. 

  • Fill in the exam platform : 

    • Test Name: This will be visible to test takers.

    • Test ID: External ID of the test. 

    • Test Password: The password to unlock the test must be the same on the exam platform  site and within Honorlock.

    • Direct Test URL: Honorlock will redirect test takers to this URL. 

Note: All fields are mandatory

  • Upon successful completion, you will receive a success message.

 

 

 

  • After successfully completing the registration process, navigate to the “Test Access” tab of the exam.

  • Options to upload test takers: 

    • “Add Test Taker”  allows you to enter individual test takers.

    • “Import CSV” enables you to upload multiple test takers at once. 

      • Note: Honorlock provides a Test Taker File Template to download for ease of use. 

  • Honorlock will present a file preview to validate the correct test takers. Complete the upload by clicking the “Import” CTA. 

  • The test taker table will be filled with imported data upon successful upload. 

  • Delete function: You can delete individual test takers if they should no longer be able to access the exam. 

    • Note: you won’t be able to delete test takers who have already requested their unique URL, as they would already be registered with our system.

Sharing the “Exam URL” to Test Takers

  • Once the exam has been registered, you can click the “Copy Access URL” in the top-right corner of the exam page. 

  • This link can be shared with test takers. It will lead them to a page where they can request access to their exam.

  • Test takers will receive the following message to request the exam link
