How to convert Canvas Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes

When an exam administrator wants to convert a Canvas Classic Quiz to a New Quiz within the course, the original classic quiz will be left in place, creating a New Quiz with a different assignment_ID.  Honorlock will not identify the new quiz until it has been launched.

The following steps should be followed when copying the entire course.

1. Convert the Classic Quiz to a New Quiz within the "Master" course.

2. Launch the New Quiz within the "Master" course so Honorlock identifies it.

3. Edit and save the New Quiz exam settings.

4. At this point you can delete the original  Classic Canvas quiz  or rename it to avoid confusion with the new quiz.

5. Conduct the course copy.

5. Disable the New Quiz within the "Master" course.
