Blackboard Classic Exams - Authorization Error

This article outlines the steps to follow when receiving the “Authorization Error:  Please make sure your browser is not blocking third-party cookies. Please contact Honorlock support for further assistance" message.  Instructors see this error message if the user session has expired and you try to enable a new exam.

Before completing any of the steps below, close the Honorlock page shown above entirely to ensure the troubleshooting steps work properly. Ensure you are on the Chrome browser, then complete the following steps.

Step 1: Navigate to the appropriate course, and then go to the Content section of the course. Under Tools, select Honorlock LTI. Note: If you can not locate Honorlock LTI under Tools, check under Build Content.

 

Step 2: Select Honorlock to launch the Honorlock LTI tool or Honorlock Exam List to launch LTI.

Step 3: Go to the assessment in your course content menu, navigate to the test options by clicking on the chevron symbol to the right of the assessment name. Click on the chevron symbol to open up the context menu, and then select Edit the Test Options.

Step 4:Navigate to the Honorlock section of the test options, and select Click to Enable to enable Honorlock in your assessment.

Step 5: Submit the page before navigating away to save your changes.
