Intellum Assessment Creation Guide

This guide describes creating an Intellum assessment and illustrates the required assessment settings for Honorlock Proctoring.

Summary of Required Settings

  • The assessment type must be Assessment.

Create New Assessment → Assessment Type

  • The assessment must show one question per page.

Properties → Assessment → Page Setup

  • The grade type can be Completion or Pass/Fail.

Properties → Assessment → Grade Type

  • The confirmation page must be toggled on.

Properties → Assessment → Confirmation Page

  • Allow events must be toggled on.

Properties → General → Scheduled Activity

  • Require test takers to use Honorlock for assessments (Requires setup on Honorlock) must be on.

Events → Properties

(An event will need to be created with the new assessment.)

Creating an Intellum Assessment

1) In the Content tab of Intellum, select + New → Assessment.

2) Select Assessment as the assessment type, and enter an assessment title. Only use standard characters in the title, as Honorlock may not be compatible with the use of emojis or other special characters.

3) In the Compose tab, add the assessment questions. Honorlock is compatible with all question types.

4) In the Properties tab, choose the appropriate settings for the assessment. Honorlock requires the following settings:

  • The assessment must show one question per page.

Properties → Assessment → Page Setup

  • The grade type can be Completion or Pass/Fail.

Properties → Assessment → Grade Type

  • The confirmation page must be toggled on.

Properties → Assessment → Confirmation Page

  • Allowed events must be toggled on.

Properties → General → Scheduled Activity

5) The instructions section in the Assessment tab should contain a predetermined template provided by your dedicated Success Manager. If you do not have access to this template, please contact your Success Manager.

Using the provided template ensures that the guidelines provided to test takers in Intellum are identical to the guidelines for Honorlock proctors and support access. 

6) Navigate to the Events tab on the left panel and select New Event.

7) In the activity dropdown menu, select the assessment’s name, and add any other relevant information on this page. Then, select Save & Continue.

8) In the Event Properties tab, select Require test takers to use Honorlock for assessments (Requires setup on Honorlock). Then, select Save Changes.

9) Contact your organization's key administrator so they can submit the exam creation form to Honorlock on your behalf.
